The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have a well-deserved
reputation for being the loan sharks of global capitalism. Both
institutions are infamous for forcing poor countries in the global south
to ruin their own economies in order to further enrich Western
corporations. Nations who decline to borrow money at exorbitant interest
rates and then beggar their populations to pay it back (or worse, default
on their existing debt), are subjected to trade sanctions that have been
described as “the economic equivalent of nuclear war.”

Sina Brown-Davis, Melbourne-based Maori, Tongan & Samoan anti-globalisation and solidarity activist will be giving a public talk on revolutionary struggle and i think they have activism in Australia and the Pacific.

Sina works closely with Aboriginal Australians in a number of anti-racist and anti-colonial projects and campaigns. She runs a news service for activists and revolutionaries throughout the Pacific.

MLK Day March Against Wage Slavery!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a tireless fighter for social justice. Every year, the IWW marches on MLK Day to honor his legacy.

We march on the workplaces in which we are organizing to show solidarity with our fellow workers and send a clear message to the bosses that we stand united against all forms of slavery!

We are calling on Starbucks to pay the holiday premium on MLK Day.

We are calling on K-Mart to choose a socially responsible ad firm and drop MPG.
