Mobile Wire Shelving

A wide range of organizations use mobile wire shelving for storage. Included in the many businesses and service organizations that use them are hospitals, retailers, food services industries, cafes, offices, warehouses, and Poly Sheeting professional garages.

The practicality of design enables each business type to use their shelves to store items that are specifically applicable to their business type. Hotels use them to store linens.

Kitchens use them to store food and supplies. Garages store everything from small parts to oil and tools on these racks. Retailers use them to control and track inventory.

Mobile shelf units are manufactured from solid stainless steel and have been certified for medical industries use by the National Sanitation Foundation, aka NSF.

This makes mobile wire shelving the favored means of transporting medication and food to patients in hospitals.

The carts are easy for health care workers to get in and out of elevators, down hallways, and into patient rooms. The guarantee of sanitation makes them a safe and reliable tool to use for the sterile environment at hand.

One of the greatest benefits organizations can receive from their investment in mobile wire shelving is the space saving value created by these mobile units.

In small buildings and suites, it may not be possible to have permanent fixed shelving as one would like.
Also, even if such space is available, the need to move items around quickly requires another tool of operation.

Many offices rely on these shelves as their primary means of storing paper, computer supplies, spare monitors, and miscellaneous office supplies.

Mobile shelves offer solutions to both needs. They are ideal for temporary storage, and they make it easy to move anything they can support from one place to another. This is a time saver as well as a space saver.

Mobile wire shelving comes in many different sizes to accommodate the wide range of client types they service. Our most popular sizes is a mobile shelf rack that measures sixty-nine or eighty inches in height. Width sizes are three, four, and five foot widths.

Additionally, organizations can choose between two shelf depth options. Smaller storage requirements can be accommodated by the eighteen inch shelf size.

Larger storage needs, such as those in hospitals where the carts may have to travel round trip through multiple floors, are better accommodated by the twenty-four inch depth size.

Units are highly maneuverable and simultaneously stable, thanks to heavy duty, five-inch wheels that have locking mechanisms to keep the shelving unit stable after its momentum is stopped.

The standard number of shelves for each unit is four shelves each, but more can be added to customize the unit to specific storage needs and applications. Each shelf can support 300 pounds of material.

Mobile wire shelving is aesthetically customizable as well. Clients can choose between chrome plated and powder coated finishes.

Food service and health care organizations find the shiny finish of chrome more attractive, whereas businesses using their mobile shelves for dry and cold storage then to prefer the powder coated finish. Both are equally corrosion and rust resistant, so this is mostly a matter of taste.
