A conversa aborda diversos aspectos da vida e obra de Bakunin, pensando o autor tanto em seu tempo quanto hoje. Revolução e Liberdade, organizado por Plínio A. Coêlho, apresenta 30 cartas; 15 anteriormente publicadas em Bakunin por Bakunin, nos anos 80, e 15 inéditas.

No creemos que este sea un debate específico a los métodos que se denominan, tradicionalmente, de "propaganda por el hecho", ni que sea un debate a favor o en contra de la "violencia". Este es un debate que es muchísimo más amplio, y que tiene que ver con el sentido de la táctica y de la estrategia en el anarquismo, el cual, en el mejor de los casos, es muy marginal.
