There will be a presentation of the short play, “Seven Jewish Children,” by Caryl Churchill, written in response to the December bombing of Gaza by Israeli defense forces.
There will also be a brief presentation by Paki Wieland about the recent trip that she and Dr. Marty Nathan made to Gaza as part of a health and mental health delegation from the US to bear witness to the bombing and to bring humanitarian aid. While being prevented for 3 days from entering Gaza at the Egyptian border, they and other international groups of activists discussed the idea of mobilizing an international effort to open the Rafah border between Egypt and Gaza.
The aim of this international effort is to have a continual presence of activists at Gaza's border crossings until the border is opened to allow the free movement of people and supplies into or out of Gaza.
